Card Sizes

I recently found out there are two main playing card sizes: poker size and bridge size. I've been practicing Cardistry moves with bridge-sized cards 🥲, but it seems poker size is the standard and what's used most often for quality decks. Am I right about that? Do you know if I'll have any trouble adapting to the new size, and if I'll be able to do all the moves without a problem with enough practice?

Hey there!

Bridge Size decks, or just 'bridge' as they're often called, are what's considered the classic Spanish playing card size, at least here in Spain.
They're what most people started with. And again, I'm talking about Spain.

The "Poker Size" model – its name (and what it's for) pretty much says it all.

There's really no big difference between the two besides their size; it just comes down to getting your hands used to them.

As for quality, you can find Bridge decks in the same quality as Poker. In fact, brands like Bicycle produce them with the same quality. Keep in mind, though... they're more expensive (for less paper).

All the best and keep the magic alive!
