Starting Magic on Social Media
Hey everyone, I've gotten into this incredible world with books and a Magic and Cardistry Kit, and I'm itching to record magic for social media (YouTube, for example).
I'm looking for advice on when the best time is to take that leap, and if social media is totally separate from performing for people in person.
Should I focus on improving my technique first, naturally, and start by performing for family, friends, and even strangers, before making the move to social media?
Thanks!

I'd say that when it comes to performing magic on social media, consistency is key; all content platforms tend to reward daily content. Another tip: always make sure your magic gets straight to the point. This is crucial for retaining your audience. Ensure the effect is clear and visually impactful. If the platform allows it, disable comments so people don't try to spoil the magic. Finally, if your video is well-edited and high-quality, that'll definitely help it reach a wider audience. Also, Shorts, Reels, and TikToks are what reach people the most, so you can start there to build a base. If you happen to know someone with a strong media presence and can create content with them, absolutely take advantage of that to grow.
Thank you so much!!!! 💪🏻
