Thumb Tip
Hey everyone, I'm looking for a thumb tip that's as realistic as possible. My current one is a darker color than my skin and the shape isn't very realistic.
I've checked a few websites and found the ''Alan Wong HD Thumb Tip''; I'm not sure if anyone has any experience with it.
Can anyone recommend one?

I've always been recommended Vernet, and those are the ones I use.
Vernet, of course.
But if it fits your fingertip, the brand honestly doesn't really matter. Theoretically, a Thumb Tip should never be seen by the audience, so it could be green, blue, or pink for all it matters. These days, they're typically flesh-toned to blend in, just in case there's a flash (an accidental exposure). A while back, I can't recall where, I saw a demo video of effects using a Thumb Tip, and the performer was actually using a cut-down red medicine tube.
Honestly, don't overcomplicate things. The Thumb Tip is supposedly an object that doesn't exist, so the shape and color are pretty much beside the point.
Vernet is the best, and I agree that you should keep it exposed to the audience for the shortest amount of time possible. With natural movements, the audience won't notice any difference in shade.
