Hey Alberto,

There are many books that, while not strictly theory books, per se, like La Buena Magia or Ascanio's Volume One (which is pure theory), are still packed with valuable insights.

52 Amantes by Pepe Carrol has a really cool essay on conflicts, plus the articles from the EMM newsletters.

Magia de Altura by Ricardo Rodríguez offers interesting reflections, aside from the essay on fictional magic.

Antes de la Trampa by @Ricardo, which talks a lot about presentation.

Tommy Wonder's Books of Wonder has theoretical gems (possibly one of the most impactful for me).

Numismagia y Percepción by Gea, where he explores many concepts.

Drama en la estructura mágica by Gea.

Tamariz's The Five Points in Magic.

Volume 2 of The Grand Grimoire of Card Magic has a really good theory section.

The Phobos articles/books could also be considered theory—or maybe not—but they're articles on rehearsal, show preparation, etc., and are highly recommended.

And I'm sure I'm forgetting a ton; some, like El Mago Errante on Cocktail magic, I haven't read, but I'm sure it covers theoretical topics related to that specialty.

I'm looking for a book called one-handed magic or something similar.

Does anyone know where I can find it?

I don't remember the author, and I'm really looking forward to adding it to my collection.

Hey Isma, you might be thinking of Rene Lavand and his book on Lentidigitation. Hope that helps! All the best.

In the book Advanced Card Magic, there's a chapter dedicated to one-handed card magic. I'd imagine Rene Lavand's books also go into his adapted sleights (I haven't read those myself, though).

Hey everyone,

I recently got my hands on a book that I found really interesting.

It's The Expert at the Card Table by Erdnase; well, actually, the one I found is the 1984 Dai Vernon edition.

Cheers
