Hi, I'm David
Hey there! I'm 14 years old, and this summer I dove into the world of magic, which I absolutely love.
I started with a cheap deck from a dollar store, doing self-working tricks, but then I got a recommendation for the book *Fundamental Card Magic* and I've learned a ton already.
I've discovered some magic books at the library, so I'll keep learning.

Hey there, welcome to the club.
I'm going to give you some advice: it doesn't matter how "good" you are (we're all good; there are no "bad" magicians). Ask everyone you meet, and places like libraries, community centers, and anywhere else you can think of, for opportunities to do as many shows as possible. Don't hesitate to say YES when they ask if you want to perform somewhere. Do everything you can to get lots of gigs. Always have that mindset, never give up. Don't get stuck thinking that the tricks you learn and all your effort are for nothing, just to perform for a few friends and that's it. That's not how it is. When you do your first trick, you're already a magician, and a magician doesn't just do "tricks," they create magic. It's so much more than just tricks. If you want to be a great magician, you need to move past only performing for family and friends. As you get more experienced, try to make money with it. Try to get on TV, on every show possible: Got Talent, Fool Us... but never give up. I'd also recommend joining a magic club or association. It'll be like this club, but in real life, and you'll find many treasures that seemed impossible to you at first. You're going to learn a lot. But most importantly, in books, courses, associations, videos... you'll learn how to do it, but not how to do it WELL. And that's learned by doing many shows, because each person has their own "language" of learning, understands things differently. When you learn through experience, you learn in your language. But when someone else teaches you, you learn in their language, which isn't always easy for you. I've turned into a poet! 😅
Anyway, don't give up, do everything you can, learn through experience...
I could write a lot more, but you need to find your own rules and advice to make your dreams a reality.
Best of luck in your life as a magician.
Take care!
Hope all that helps ⬆️
