I'm Julián... an aspiring magician since 1997
My 'apprentice magician since 1997' title is no joke... or maybe it is, but I'm serious about it. I got my start at the (original) Houdini club in Madrid with master Pablo Segóbriga (and also the incredible cardician Dámaso).
It took years before I started performing effects for friends. You either do effects 'at least decently well,' or they won't fool anyone—they won't create that sense of wonder. I've had effects and techniques (and not even overly complicated ones) that took me more than 5 years to present because I didn't feel they came across naturally or with that 'deceptive ease'.
Stage fright has always been with me. And at this point, I'm not going to fight it... let's just let it be and enjoy the magic.
My favorite magicians are Tamariz and René Lavand (my childhood heroes). Humor and poetry. The ideal blend with magic.
I have a YouTube channel with my videos—shot DIY style, unedited; I'm just too lazy for that—:
Thrilled to be part of this community. GREAT idea, Julio. This is truly the best thing: a website like this. Much better than a Facebook group and infinitely better than a Telegram one, where messages just get lost in the endless stream.
Magical regards,

What a great way to discover magic 🤩.
And I'm glad you decided to share your magic on YouTube. It's a fantastic way to get magic out to more people and to improve your own skills by watching yourself perform.
Welcome to the club.
You know, we might have actually overlapped. I was a regular at Houdini's from '99 on. My wife, Dámaso, and I were always at the bar. Oh, and the others too: Manuel, Paco Aparicio, Pablo,...
@Julio Ribera:
Exactly! Watching yourself on video is the best way to improve your magic!!!
