Anti-Faro

Ace here again!

This time I'm looking for some help with the Anti-Faro.

I've just started practicing it since I began reading Tamariz's Mnemonica, and I see it's mentioned in the book. I've already done a little research on it and I see it's a pretty complex sleight, and even harder to get it perfect.

I've watched a couple of tutorials (only 3 so far).

If anyone has any tips on how to start practicing it or any other video that explains it, I'd appreciate it.

I'm attaching some tutorials in case anyone

wants to learn it (FYI, they're in ENGLISH).

I appreciate any tips!

I also hope "JULIO RIBERA" puts together a tutorial with tips for it, since I see it's a complex but useful sleight.

Hey,

I agree Christian Engblom's anti-Faro is pretty complicated, and as you mentioned, it doesn't always come out clean. Someone told me it's one of those moves that doesn't really pay off for the amount of practice required, especially when there are much simpler ways to achieve the same result.

Ultimately, an anti-Faro-1 is just dividing the deck into two piles (though it does reverse the order). Then, if we're looking to do higher-order anti-Faros (like the one Tamariz explains in his Mnemonic Deck for when you can't hit a perfect Faro – he does an anti-Faro-4), it's just a matter of justifying it somehow (and Juan offers plenty of ideas).
