Ace Productions

Hey everyone!

I'm putting together a few routines with the four aces, like Ace Assembly, Triumph with aces, aces turning face up, etc.

The thing is, right now to start, I'm just looking for the four aces in the deck myself, and I think it would look a lot better if they appeared somehow.

Does anyone know any ace production effects?

I've seen some effects on YouTube videos, but I can't figure out how to do them…

Thanks!

You've got plenty of methods.

Gabi has several examples:

(I think this one is fairly self-explanatory)

(this one involves cutting to the Aces; you'll find it in many books)

There's another one where you Riffle the cards, but I can't remember which effect it's in. You Riffle the cards and the four Aces appear on top. If I remember, I'll add it.

In the GEC, in the sandwiches chapter, there's a two-card production that can easily be expanded to four.

Another option is to check out the Suit production and look at the different productions, then stick with the ones you like best. If I recall correctly, Canuto had an effect where several neat productions were explained.

You set up the four aces on top: three face up and one face down (on top). Then you riffle the deck, holding it by one end, and get the top Ace to turn over. It looks like all four turn over on their own.

Joaquin Matas did this on Got Talent in the final.

I'd recommend "Four Aces to Spectator's Cut." It's one of those foundational card magic effects that's really good and easy to learn. It probably uses the same technique as the Ace Assembly you're already doing (since it's the most famous one), and it's a solid, easy trick.

You can check it out here, plus two other methods.
