Magic Apps for Your Phone for Effects

Do you guys have any recommendations for magic apps for phones? I currently use one, but I'd love to start incorporating more, like calculator tricks, time changes, forces using phone notes, etc. I'd really appreciate any suggestions you have. 😄

Hey there! For Android, there are a few decent free apps that work pretty well if you learn how to use them properly.

• Magic Card Change - Itai Levi. As its name implies, this one is for performing card changes.

• Magic Card Pop - Itai Levi. This one is good for predictions and even 'producing' the card from the phone.

• Magic trick: Force a card - Emre Tekelioglu. The free version lets you force up to two consecutive cards.

These are the ones I've used. There was another app with some great free effects, but it went full-paid, and since I don't perform magic professionally, it didn't make sense for me to pay for it.

Also, personally, I'm not a big fan of using a phone to aid in magic tricks because people tend to focus more on what the app is doing to create the 'magic' than on the actual effect itself 🤷🏻‍♂️

Hope this helps a little bit 😉😊

Welcome to the club, Ismael!

The best developer for magic apps is Marc Kerstein.

They're expensive, but they're really good.

David Blaine has performed some of his magic effects on TV, and I use some of his applications myself.

Do a quick Google search, and I'm sure you'll find something interesting 😉.

All the best!

Hey there! 😃 I use an app called Magic Tricks by Mikael Montier. It has 12 free tricks, plus magic tutorials. There are more tricks available, but those are paid. You can perform changes, predictions, object productions on your phone...

Also, I wanted to ask about another app called Hydra by Shameer Salim; I think it looks really great. Has anyone tried it? I'd like to know if the input method requires an assistant or if it can be used solo.

There are all sorts of apps available, some quite pricey and others more affordable, with most of them being in English. You can also adapt existing apps for magic purposes. Tell us a bit more about what you're looking for – like Android or Apple platform – and we can see if we can help you out.

As @DeZeta mentioned, if you clarify your situation, we can help you out a bit more.

Julio's channel has some videos featuring the calculator:

If you can give us a bit more detail, we can help you.

Hey everyone, could you help me out? I'm trying to identify a magic trick where a spectator names a number between 1 and 10 or selects a card, and then the time on their phone starts counting down, somehow linked to that number. I'd love to know what app that is. Thanks a bunch!

It's called TimeLine, by Patrick Kun and developed by Marc Kerstein

There's a free app called AbracadApp. It features a killer trick (which is totally worth it) that you can either buy or snag for free with a code.

That app doesn't work anymore, which is a real shame because I used it all the time, and it was really good. It looks like the developers just abandoned it.

Hey there!

I've heard Julio Montoro talk about DFB (Digital Force Bag Pro).

It goes for 55€.

All the best!

If you check out Mariano Goñi's apps in the app stores, they're genuinely incredible.

We're talking about mind-blowing effects you can even do with a spectator's phone, without ever touching it!!!

This is the one I use! The one Enrique Lapetra talks about. It has a free version and a paid version. I bought it years ago; I don't remember for how much, but I don't think it was more than $30, and it's some of the best $30 I've ever spent.

Just with Scratched deck, Digital objets, and Swapped cards, you get 3 miracles. Plus, it has tons of video tutorials with techniques and tricks.

Hey! I bought this a month ago and it's pretty fun. It has a lot of effects, but they're not really meant to be performed back-to-back, as it loses impact since it relies on your phone. Highly recommended!

There's also this version for Android, which I think is the same but 'updated,' though I'm not entirely sure because the one you linked – the one I used – isn't showing up for me in the PlayStore anymore, so I can't compare them 🤷🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️😅

Edit: It's not showing up because my current phone isn't compatible 🤷🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️, but I've definitely used Magic Tricks on another phone before 😅
