Sponge Balls with Cards

Hey there,

I've got some sponge balls and I'm looking to use them with cards – essentially, a trick that combines both. The thing is, I'm not sure how to tie these two elements together. I'd love a good card magic routine blended with a visual sponge ball effect. I've thought about a trick where a spectator selects a card, it's lost in the deck, then I deal off the top seven cards and rub a sponge ball on each one. On the card I know is theirs, I make the ball vanish and claim that if it disappeared, it must be their card (and it is). But I'm not totally sold on it. Does anyone know a trick that uses both, or have any ideas?

Thanks!

Here's an idea, though it might be a bit of a stretch.

1.- Have the cards shuffled.

2.- Spread the cards and have them select one. They can sign it (optional).

3.- Have them return the card, and as you replace it in the middle of the deck, secretly add the sponge ball (which you have palmed) directly underneath the selected card. Square up the deck carefully (to hide the slight bulge from the sponge ball), then place it into the card box (make sure it fits) and put it into the spectator's pocket (or your own, which you've had them examine beforehand).

4.- Later, produce another sponge ball and say that magical elements always reunite. When you pretend to place the ball into the pocket, you actually palm it away.

5.- Tell them, 'Hold on, take out both the deck and the sponge ball.' They'll only take out the deck. Tell them, 'No, no, get the sponge ball too.' They'll say, 'It's not here!' You respond, 'Look carefully; I just put it in there!' Of course, they won't find it...

6.- You say, 'That's impossible! I told you the elements reunite, but sometimes they reunite too well.' When they remove the deck, they'll find something in the middle—the sponge ball—and it's right beneath their chosen and signed card.

Just an idea off the top of my head.

Hey! I think Xulio Merino performs an effect similar to what @davidoliver.ramos is describing. He has a card selected, adds the ball, and then does a table spread of the deck in such a way that the ball expands and the card appears.
