A Thought-of Card and a Name
Hey, a few days ago I saw an effect where the spectator was asked to think of a playing card and say it out loud. The magician says, "SAMUEL!" Your card is named Samuel. He takes the deck from his pocket and shows that all the cards have different names on them. The magician then finds the card the spectator thought of, and sure enough, it was named Samuel. Does anyone know what this effect is called or how it's done?

Hey there, here's that effect, but as a routine where it happens three times:
If you want me to explain it here, it's a deck with different names on the backs, but half the deck has repeated cards (like a Svengali). You can show half the deck as being different, but when you turn it over, the repeated cards are on top (face down). Instead of asking for a card, you ask them to name a name. Since there are so many names, the spectator will need you to show them some examples. So you go through the top cards (with different names but the same cards), and when they name one of the names you've shown, you reveal the card, which will be the repeated one, and with an early prediction, you completely blow their mind.
Hope this helps. Let me know if anything's unclear.
