How to Get a Spectator's Card to Appear Inside a Completely Sealed Orange

I've seen several videos of magicians who have a card signed and then make it appear inside a sealed orange. Here's an example.

Seriously, WOW!!! That's unbelievable — it seems impossible. I need an explanation!

There's a tutorial on the card box for how to make it.

Hello,

The one in this particular video is pretty straightforward. However, when they get the card signed on the spot, I'm not entirely clear on what the sleight is. I'm still waiting to figure it out, and as soon as I know exactly, I'll upload it.

Cheers,

Hi @angelgonza76.

@angelgonza76:

When they're asked to sign the card on the spot

(Card, bill, business card, etc...)

Just wanted to mention that the effect you're looking for to do "on the spot" and without any setup (I mean no gimmicked fruit) is this one:

With this method, you'll be able to do it anywhere you want, even at your local grocery store or any other impromptu setting.

It's inexpensive, clever, and VERY EASY (though it still requires practice, like everything).

I just wanted to share it so you'd be aware of it.

Cheers!!!

Hey everyone.

Well, as I tell my 8-year-old daughter, in magic, if you want something to happen, you just have to figure out how to do it.

@angelgonza76:

When they get the card signed on the spot, that's where I'm not entirely clear on the handling.

Obviously, when they have the card signed (or any other paper, bill, receipt, etc..), the orange (or kiwi, apple, pear, etc..) is gimmicked (no matter how much the magician says it's normal and offers it for examination).

Generally, it will have some kind of opening to load the object in question inside it. There's no more to it than creating a routine that perfectly conceals the moment this is done. Nothing more, nothing less.

Oh, yeah, I didn't doubt that. What I meant was, that whole sequence of getting it into the orange right under the spectator's nose – that just blows me away. That specific move and the misdirection for it are what I haven't quite mastered yet. Haha, but I guess it just takes practice. Thanks for the response!
