Creating a Magic Routine for Kids (A Simple Structure)

To create the routine that comes with the Kids Magic Pack, the first thing we thought about was the concept.

When I say "concept," I'm referring to a theme or direction that ties the selected effects together and gives them meaning.

In this case, it was "going from a gray world to a world full of color."

We have an initial situation, and we want to reach an ideal one.

Going from A to B.

Something so simple can help you create all kinds of routines.

What elements do we have?

Coloring Book

Zig Zag Pencil

Flower Box Production

Color Changing Silks

How do we arrange them?

Out of the four elements, one starts from an initial situation with no color or drawings (the Coloring Book). Perfect, let's start there.

Problem: we have blank paper, but we're missing colors.

What do we need? Pencils and volunteers to draw.

Problem: we only have one pencil; we need to split it into three.

Solution: Zig-Zag Pencil, second effect.

Now with the pencil, we can draw with our imagination and make illustrations appear in the Coloring Book. We're on the right track.

Problem: we have drawings, but they lack a bit of color, and no one brought any!

Solution: Production of different colors through the flower boxes.

We've got the colors, but now we need to transfer them from the flowers to the book.

How? With silks that absorb the colors and transfer them to the book.

Finale: the drawings are finally filled with vibrant colors!

As you can see, the structure is very simple.

We have an initial situation (A) and want to reach an ideal situation (B), but along the way, we'll encounter different obstacles that we'll solve with a little magic.

In summary:

First, find a common thread among the magic tricks (in this case, color).

Second, decide on a concept: “going from a gray world to a world full of color.”

Third, design a presentation that takes you from situation A to situation B and uses the obstacles to add twists to the story.

Now it's your turn; apply this idea to your next magic presentation.

Good luck!
