What's your favorite magic trick?
My favorite magic trick is the French Kiss card trick because it really connects with spectators by being performed on their mouth. It's best suited for smaller audiences. What about yours?

Hands down, Daryl's Presto Printo. It's an effect I saw many years ago, and I was fascinated by its elegance and simplicity. When I got into magic, I rediscovered it, and it's one of the few effects I've barely had to practice – it just stuck with me. It's the great Daryl's brilliant take on Wild Cards:
That's a fantastic trick, I wasn't familiar with it!
One of my favorite effects is this one by Tommy Wonder, who, in my opinion, is one of the greatest magicians. It's a Wild Card, but the construction is simply brilliant.
The interesting thing is, everyone has their favorite trick.
Thousands upon thousands of magicians worldwide, each with their signature piece.
These are effects that get incredible reactions for them, but then you try it and it just doesn't land right.
Why?
Because what's important isn't learning the latest release, knowing hundreds of different tricks, or even creating your own effects.
The important thing is to pick one and MASTER IT.
To perform great magic, you need more than just a trick.
It takes connection, entertainment, astonishment...
And all of that comes from mastering an effect.
Perform it so many times you could do it with your eyes closed.
That said, every time you perform it should be an opportunity to improve. Analyze what worked well and keep it, and what didn't work so you can refine it.
It's awesome that we're sharing our favorite tricks here, and I encourage you all to keep this thread going.
It's a huge source of inspiration.
However, don't forget that the most important thing isn't the trick, but the MAGIC.
And for that, you have to MASTER IT 🤘🏻🔥
I'm a big fan of packet tricks in card magic.
You'll find plenty of examples on Gabi Pareras' channel:

If I had to pick just one effect, I'd choose Pepe Carroll's Incauto bribón (or La distinta). Here are a few different versions:
Hey everyone! I'm a huge fan of Tamariz's magic, and one of my favorite effects is Los Asaltantes. It's dynamic, entertaining, and not too difficult to perform! 😄
My Favorite Beginner Trick
I haven't been in magic long, but there's one super easy trick that always blows everyone away: Juan Tamariz's Traveling Card.
Like with all tricks, the patter is super important.
I basically just copy Juan Tamariz's patter, quickly flashing the indifferent cards without drawing too much attention to them, but making the spectator believe that all the cards I place on the table are the ones they just saw.
Then I act like the trick flopped (honestly, I think my acting is pretty terrible, but for some reason, it always sells) and end up stunning everyone when they see that the card I left on the table right in front of them has traveled.
So, if you're a beginner, I totally recommend it, just as I recommend checking out Juan Tamariz's video on YouTube doing this incredible trick.
I'm fascinated by the magic of Dani Ortiz - Daortiz:
Even though many magicians think it's overdone, I've always gotten killer reactions with the Ambitious Card, and I find it pretty comfortable to perform. What's more, it's very versatile, giving you plenty of room to add original touches and surprise your audience even further. There are so many different ways to do it, so even if they ask you to repeat it, it's no problem at all – in fact, it often plays stronger if you do it a couple of times.
There are so many, it's impossible to settle on just one. It's like trying to name your favorite movie. I mean, for con artist flicks, The Sting and Nine Queens. Romance? Roman Holiday. Heartfelt with incredibly subtle Argentine humor: Son of the Bride. Courtroom dramas: Witness for the Prosecution, Twelve Angry Men. And there are dozens more that just CAN'T be compared. It's like comparing a painting to a sculpture; they're completely different genres.
But if I had to pick one I watch over and over again... if I absolutely have to choose one, it's Tamariz's LOS COMODINES (The Jokers), FISM 1973. Packed with humor from the very beginning. The magic keeps building right up to the final climax.
Awesome, @julianranz! Tamariz is, and always will be, one of the greats! 🔥
Do you feature any of his effects in your sets?
My favorite effects are always the visual ones, and often quite simple.
I love this one with rubber bands:
In card magic, this is my favorite:
And finally, vanishing a ring:
