When I do a Pinky break, the break shows from the front
I've been practicing a very popular force, the one where you riffle until someone calls 'stop' and you pretend to cut where they said, but you're actually using a pinky break to force the card. It's relatively smooth, but I always have the problem that the break shows from the front, and when I riffle, if I have to put a little pressure on the cards, they also tend to open up too much at the break. Any advice on how to prevent that and make it less noticeable? I've tried squeezing the deck with my other fingers, but it's not very effective...
Thanks!

Hey there.

Good...

Not ideal... 😅
So, you need to focus on fixing that.
The thing about magic is, there's nothing truly "exact" to it.
While there are certainly guidelines and a "proper" way to do it, you then need to adapt it to your hands and fingers and introduce variations that help you hide the break and make your grip look natural.
I'm not sure if you've seen this already, but I'll share it just in case:
Number 7 is what you'll want to pay attention to:
And I've used this one a lot and always liked it, so I'm adding it (since we're talking about forces)
I recommend practicing in front of a mirror to adjust your grip, making sure the Break isn't flashing and your cards stay squared (your grip should be light and relaxed, not tense).
Basically, just keep practicing and don't give up; sooner or later, you'll nail it.
All the best!!!
