Anyone Know How to Do This Prediction Trick?
This trick they did for Shin Lim totally blew my mind🤯.
Basically: the spectator flips a card over, and on the phone, that's exactly the one shown turned over in the image.

Considering it's Shin Lim's phone and the spectator calls out their chosen card, he likely has an accomplice with his Instagram account open, ready to switch to the correct carousel post.
The effect seems to consist of 52 different carousel posts. Each post's first two images show the same fanned deck, but the final image in each carousel reveals a different card. When the accomplice hears the selected card, they quickly navigate away from the current post and bring up the one with the chosen card. This explains why, in the video, when he re-enters the 'post' a second time, it takes a moment to load, even though he'd just opened it seconds before – because it's actually a different post.
It's a clever social media mentalism trick.
