Question About the Omega Deck

Julio, it's been a while since I bought the Omega deck, and I haven't been able to use it because the tutorial is in English and it's pretty tough to follow. Could you possibly make a video explaining how this deck works, please?

Thanks a lot!

Hey everyone! Just a few days ago, I watched the tutorial for the Omega deck.

So, it's a Svengali deck with a rough/smooth feature where the duplicated cards are the long ones. This means you can:

  • Show different cards at the start
  • Force the duplicated card, so the spectator freely chooses it
  • The spectator can shuffle, as long as the cards are face down, because they'll always cut to the forced card

It only teaches a very basic routine: the spectator sees the cards, shuffles them face down, cuts, places the card back in the deck, and the magician divines the card and also shows a prediction (2 effects). There's not much else to do, besides showing the deck again without duplicated cards.

It's a decent effect, and I think the tutorial is quite clear. My main takeaway is that you need to have good audience management and give very clear and quick instructions, otherwise, they could mess things up by picking a non-force card during a spread or notice that the cards are too thick (there are two glued together). The rough/smooth coating could fail, or the short cards could be too short and be obvious. In other words, if you don't have a lot of experience, don't let the spectator touch the deck beyond cutting; handle the rest yourself.

Hope this helps, cheers!
