Question about Hell `s SMOKE
Hey everyone, could someone help me with this product? It was a gift, and I have no idea how to use it or what it's for 😅😅😅 If anyone knows anything about it, it would be a huge help if you could tell me how and what it's supposed to do.

Funnily enough, the other day I was browsing through those great dollar stores (where I basically source 80% of the stuff for my magic workshop), and I spotted this:
And I thought to myself, 'Wait, what?! 4 boxes that size for €1.20? I'm taking them!'
That's 4 boxes, 2 strikers per box, so 8 strikers total. Divide that by €1.20, and each strip comes out to €0.15 – super affordable!
For the record, I typically get these more for this purpose:
That's why I always put the matches to good use, and there are plenty of them.
However, even if you set aside the matches for other projects, the strikers themselves can definitely be used for smoke effects, given how inexpensive they are.
Just wanted to share that.
All the best, and keep the magic going!
With those matches and a bit of aluminum foil, you can make some awesome rockets for Christmas 🤘t2:
That Hell's smoke stuff is a pain to set up, but honestly, the result looks pretty cool. I tried using it for a coin vanish, but it made a mess and I ruined a deck afterward. So I've got it safely tucked away. Ultimately, smoke, light, fire, and similar effects often aren't worth the extra hassle.
A FEW TIPS/IDEAS:
1st - Strikers are a mix of glass powder, red phosphorus, dyes, and binding agents. While it's not that expensive, for years now, Spanish manufacturers have tried to "save on everything," so we end up with matches that have these kinds of strikers.
Avoid these types of strikers for Hell's Smoke at all costs; they're junk and will barely give you good results.
2nd - From each €0.15 strip of the previously mentioned (QBEK medium-sized matches), you can get up to 8 smoke charges.
3rd - From a 4-box pack (which costs €1.20 in my city), you get 8 strips, but when packed into the zip bags (the ones I used), I can only fit 7.
7 strips at €0.15 each = €1.05 per bag.
These 4 bags don't even come close to €5 in value, and their total surface area is approximately 48cm x 26cm:
Anyway, each bag/pack I've made is 12cm x 6.5cm and costs €1.05 (since each bag leaves you with a leftover strip worth €0.15).
And I think that covers everything I wanted to mention about this 😊.
Best regards and good magic to everyone!!!
Hey @Dario,
What you got is exactly the same as what's shown in these videos.
The only difference is that they give you more than you'd get from a box of matches.
There are many more videos on the subject, but they all explain the same thing.
All the best and happy magic!!!
Thanks a lot, just one quick question: what kind of tricks can I use this for?
