Can anyone suggest some card tricks for a show using just a regular deck? I want to put on a Christmas show. Five tricks max, and ideally, something for a stand-up performance.

Hey there! That's a pretty broad question... First off, we'd need to know a bit about your skill level. Even if we throw out some effects, if you don't have time to really nail them down (especially with Christmas right around the corner!), it's probably best to skip them. So, if you could tell us a bit about what you're looking for – maybe self-working effects, mathematical tricks, effects that require some technique, or even highly technical pieces – or anything else that might help, we can definitely give you a better answer. :slight_smile:

First off, I'm going to share some links from the forum where you can find material to spark your own ideas, because you're not just asking for individual tricks; you're asking for a 5-trick routine for your show (or at least, that's what I gather).
You're looking for 5 tricks that tie into each other as part of a story (since it's for Christmas, it would be good for the story to have a holiday theme), and that will depend on what you're good at doing.
Again, I'd suggest starting by watching other magicians' shows (with a notepad and pen handy), as they'll help you get ideas for both effects and storylines.
