Non-Card Magic Effects

Hey everyone!

I'm putting together a magic show for kids who aren't toddlers, but not quite teenagers. Since about 90% of my repertoire is card magic, I'm at a loss for what to do with other objects—things that aren't cards. I'm looking for really impactful effects that don't involve cards. I considered buying the everyday object magic course (by Julio Ribera), but based on another magic show I saw recently, the magician wasn't really doing *organic* or *everyday object* magic; it seemed more like they were using a lot of Gimmicks and purchased Props for their effects, which I can't afford to buy a ton of stuff like that. As I mentioned in another thread, this is my first show, and I really want it to be a success.

So, to summarize:

Could anyone guide me on how to put together a show like the one below without buying a lot of expensive Gimmicks?

Also, could anyone share ideas for effects with a similar impact to Sucker Punch and Double Cross? (Because those are incredibly good, and I'd love to achieve something similar without buying them outright.)

Here's an example of the kind of show I'm aiming for:

Thanks a lot, and see ya!

Check out the 3 Fly routine with coins; it's super visual.

It takes a bit of practice.

Kids always love to see a handkerchief vanish, so you should have a silk and a Thumb Tip; it always plays well for that kind of stuff.

And with ropes, the Impossible Knot routine is great. Here's a video of the great Juan Tamariz:

If you have a change bag and silks, you can do this trick. It's fantastic for kids. Cheers

Could that trick be done with a change box? Specifically, this one below:

Hey there!

For kids, the coloring book, self-folding origami, the mummy in the sarcophagus, and even Japanese Snow (I think that's what it was called) are all really good.

And if you're not ready to give up on cards, the Fast 'n' Genius and Fake 'n' Genius decks are fantastic for hundreds of tricks, for kids (and adults!) alike, because what they see isn't abstract symbols like spades, but rather eggs hatching into a chick or a dinosaur (you can even let them choose) or a Pinocchio whose nose grows if he lies, and who can transform into a real boy with the help of a fairy, just to give you a few examples. I managed to get them for a pretty good price, and I consider them one of my best investments in magic.

Cheers!

Could you tell me what the effects 'The Self-Folding Origami' and 'The Mummy in the Sarcophagus' are? I can't seem to find them.
