Cocktail Magic
Good morning everyone!
I've got a gig in a month at an international chemistry conference to perform some magic and entertain the attendees. Can anyone recommend more quick and amazing tricks for cocktail magic? So far, I've been thinking about an ambitious routine, including 'Coins Hand to Hand', 'The Gullible Cheat', 'Hypnotic Quartet'...
Many thanks!

I got it! Turns out it's just an Elmsley count. You guys were right, haha, thanks everyone! If you know any other cocktail magic effects, I'd really appreciate it!
Awesome!!
I'm really glad to hear that!
So you've added another one to your repertoire!😁
For cocktail magic, you can perform routines like Copper/Silver, The Hopping Half, The Biddle Trick, Neither Blind Nor Foolish, numerical concordance, The Pain Game, and Vernon's Elevator. Daryl's Rope and Ring routine is fantastic, and some mentalism (anagrams, for instance, work really well too). You could also do The Gypsy Thread, Three-Card Monte, Oil and Water, or a Follow the Leader effect. Tricks with rubber bands are a good fit, and Darwin Ortiz's Nulda's Revenge also plays very well for cocktail magic. Nest of Boxes, etc.
Just a few that come to mind off the top of my head.
Hey @oiermago:
I always recommend The Phantom Joker trick, which uses four cards. It's really effective and impressive! Here's the link:
Hope this idea helps you out.
May the magic be with you, and welcome to the club!
Thanks so much, Mateo! This is exactly the type of effect I was looking for; it fits the bill perfectly! Do you know of any books or resources where I can find the explanation?
Yep, it's just the Elmsley Count. But if you have any questions or want more details, reach out to Armando. If you approach him with politeness and genuine interest, he'll definitely send you the link; he's a really cool and friendly guy.
