Note: I appreciate the questions I've received via private message, as it gives me time to answer quickly without needing to create an unnecessary debate.

1st question: Who is Antonio Romero?

I get that younger folks or those not from Spain might not necessarily know him (even though he introduces himself in the first video)

Here's a quick rundown:

2nd question: Is this a course?

No, it's not a course.

The concept of a Masterclass is, well, exactly that: a "master class" or "master course", a class taught by someone who really knows their stuff about the topic.

He has a book where he breaks everything down in more detail.

But here, he offers a great summary of the concepts we should keep in mind when putting together a show.

He gives us a solid foundation.

Every single one of them is super important.

3rd question: Is he selling his products?

Hahahahahaha, I found this question pretty amusing.

No, I don't think this is any kind of forum spam.

Each of his videos has 3 sections (roughly divided into 50% - 25% - 25%)

The first is where he explains his method, the second is where he showcases his products, and the third is where he shares his opinions or viewpoints on topics in the magic world.

I figure if he's offering us a bit of his experience and explaining some of his method (between the first and third section = 75%), then we shouldn't mind him taking the opportunity to show us his products.

Whether to buy or not is entirely up to each individual.

But if it's such a big deal, you can just watch/listen to the section that interests you and skip the rest (if you really need to be strict about it).

I understand that for younger folks, these types of videos and this format might seem a bit odd, "visually speaking," especially if you don't know who he is.

You're probably used to the influencer aesthetic with more dynamic and active videos, but you really need to focus on what matters: the information being shared.

Just so you know, I've been aware of these videos for a while now.

I recently saw Antonio interviewed on and, among other things, he brought up these videos.

My reason for not sharing them when I first found them was simply "the magician's selfishness".

I consider it EXTREMELY VALUABLE material (and which, even so, many won't understand or won't even bother to watch) and until now I've preferred to keep it as "something only I and a select few have seen".

But since one of the most common questions that comes up in the club is about how to structure performances, I finally decided to share it, for that reason alone.

So make the most of it.

Cheers, happy magic, and watch the videos calmly while taking notes.

These videos are fantastic. I've seen Antonio perform a couple of times, and he's truly a capital-M Magician. His lecture is absolutely brilliant; he's spot on with everything.

I might sound like an old-timer, but it's a real shame some folks think magic is just about getting Instagram followers instead of being the art of creating wonder.

I haven't seen it, but it looks great. Thanks for posting!
