Folding Coins

Hey everyone, I'm looking to get a folding coin for the coin-thru-bottle trick or the bitten and restored coin effect, but I'm not sure whether to get the traditional system or the internal system version. Which one do you recommend? What are the main differences between them?

Thanks a bunch!

Hey Gonzalo,

I don't own one, nor have I ever used one myself, but back in the day, I actually considered making one with a jeweler's saw I own. I've always felt the traditional approach is better. You can hand out the coin beforehand or borrow one and perform a switch while they're looking at the bottle or something similar, so a slight seam on the edge isn't really an issue. Plus, if the rubber breaks, you can just replace it yourself. However, an internal system seems like more of a hassle to me.

Like I said, that's just my impression, speaking without direct experience. Anyway, if you stop by a magic shop, they can probably guide you better.
