Effect/Routine Name (Card to Window)
Hey everyone! I recently saw a routine where the spectator picks a card, it gets lost in the deck, and then the magician tosses the cards (I don't know the exact name for the move) towards a window (for example), and the chosen card is the only one that sticks to it. If anyone knows what this effect is called, I'd be really grateful!
Thanks!

Hey there. I think it's done with a Force and a duplicate (obviously). The card would already be on the window (the key here is to misdirect the audience so no one notices there's a card there). This might seem impossible, but it's not as hard as you'd think. In fact, if we're not interested in something, it can go right past us 20 times and we'll never even see it. The rest is simple: you Force the card, lose it in the deck, the spectator can even shuffle, you do a card spring against the window and all the cards fly, even the one you Forced. But since everyone will be looking at the card that appeared on the window, no one will be checking to see if there's a duplicate on the floor.
In the unlikely but possible event that the Forced card that fell to the floor lands face up and is visible, you can just put your foot on it until you can bend down to pick up all the cards.
Best,
Exactly, you got it 😅, thanks for the help, I'll check it out.

Hellooooo!!!!
If I'm not mistaken, it's explained in "Pocket Card Magic" or in "How to Be a Magician 2.0"; I just can't remember which of the two courses.
There's a really good version of that effect, without throwing the cards, called Rift, by Coddy Nottingham.
The difference is the spectator holds the cards against a window, the magician goes to the other side of the glass and makes the card pass through it. Not sure if that's what you're looking for. There's also Ammar's Card to Ceiling, though that's a whole different beast.
Another one sold on Aliexpress is the card through frame, where you spring the cards at a photo frame and the chosen card penetrates the glass and stays inside. The spectator can even sign the card beforehand and then examine everything.
David Forrest's Card Through Window. Check online; I'm pretty sure there's a PDF.
