Sponge Rocks

Hey everyone!

Does anyone know where I can find those foam rocks that compress like sponges, then spring back into shape, and feel just like real stones?

There's a shop in Spain that has an entire section of foam props.

I can't remember which one; I'd have to look it up, and I'm not home on my PC right now (I hate using my phone for this stuff 😅).

The thing is, they have all kinds of foam items: rocks, all sorts of fruits, birds and other animals, and lots more props.

They look very realistic, though it's also true they're not cheap at all 😅.

But I bet if you do a Google search, you'll find it.

A search like this:

"foam magic props"

"magic foam rock"

"magic foam banana"

Etc.

Something's bound to pop up with one of those searches.

@Zeta, still no luck. I'm only finding it out of stock or from overseas. The only one I've found available to buy here has been on AliExpress, and despite the reviews, the photo just doesn't look convincing enough:

@Zeta You're right, it shows up, but they don't have rocks (at least I haven't seen any, and I've even tried their internal search function).

All my searches were for "stone" or "rock," and I came up empty. I just tried swapping out "bird" for those words in your suggested search, and still no rocks popped up (the same shop comes up again, but it links to a gray rabbit, for some cosmic reason). They don't even have them on the manufacturer's site they use most – which I just discovered thanks to your search – and seriously, there are props made of this material I never even dreamed existed! 😅

What I did find in your suggested search was a brick, under the result simply labeled Sponges. But in both the video and the photo, it doesn't strike me as looking as real as the actual rocks you'd find out in nature. I'm speaking from total ignorance here, as I've never owned or even seen an object like this up close.

Anyway, I appreciate the lead; maybe I'll go with one of those props if I can't find any rocks. Or if you did spot a rock on that site and I totally missed it, I'll give myself a dozen well-deserved slaps to the back of the head! 😆
