Struggling with the Triple Lift

I'm practicing an effect that requires a Triple Lift. While I feel very confident performing the Double Lift move, the Triple Lift feels clumsier. The packet (Bicycle Supreme Line) feels too thick, and I'm afraid someone close up will notice, or even worse, that the cards will slip when I push them.

Do any of you have specific tips that help with performing this move?

Thanks a lot!

Hey Alejandro,

There are several ways to hide the bulk, like squaring it up with the packet, angling it a bit to make the thickness less noticeable, etc. Not too different from what we do when we do the Double Lift.

During the move itself, it's not visible unless it gets way out of square.

It would be really helpful if you recorded yourself doing it. First, to confirm it's actually visible – sometimes we feel things are visible when they're not – and second, so that if it is visible, we could give you more specific advice.

But if it's the former, the main thing is to trust the technique. I have an effect that uses a multiple lift, and it even fools magicians.

Cheers!

Hey! As @link22 mentioned, one tip I'd offer, besides practicing a ton to keep it squared, is to bend your wrists to angle the packet toward the spectator. That way, they won't see the thickness of the packet and will only see the face of the card. Hope this helps!
