An Interactive Show Featuring an Inmagic Effect
Hey everyone! Yesterday I got the opportunity of a lifetime to perform magic on a big stage. I'm trying my absolute best to make the show as interactive as possible with the audience. The show that @Inmagic performed at the Esland Awards, I really liked. I'm guessing the trick is hidden behind this specific minute. (When Inma places her phone face down and lets Gref touch the screen, ostensibly to pick random numbers.) It's important to note that the trick isn't the same as the calculator effect from the Street Magic kit, since the audience's phones obviously aren't gimmicked. What's happening at this moment? If someone could tell me... And if it's something more secret, please, DM me privately.
Thanks a lot and good luck.

As far as I know, it's a mobile magic app (a gimmicked calculator). We'll be bringing apps to Magia&Cardistry soon... so stay tuned!!
Best,
Thank you so much! 😀

I was bored, so I thought, I'm going to make something with AI in under 3 minutes.
And voilà! A simple example that works perfectly.
Magic Calculator APK By Gemini
The volume button, of course, would be the one on the actual phone; in this example, it's at the bottom for interaction.
And the calculator's design would have to match your phone's model (which wouldn't be a problem at all, it would be super simple), but the mechanism would be the same.
So if you want to make it, these days, it couldn't be easier.
Cheers!!!
That's brilliant! Thanks so much for the idea!
Update:
I made a huge mistake.
I'm not sure why, but when I watched the video, it started at the point where he turns the phone over and asks someone to type in a random number.
That's where my idea stemmed from.
So, I thought that was the beginning of the trick, 🤦♂️
Long story short, my solution DOESN'T WORK for this effect.
It could work for a much simpler version for one spectator,
but it's not the same as what Inmagic does.
Anyway, I enjoyed building the app (it's nothing fancy), and at the same time, I'm glad to see that I was wrong, as it's completely different from the original method, making it less likely to reveal the original method.
Big thanks to @Lolo_Manue for helping me realize I hadn't watched the full video of the effect.
You tried to tell me, but since I thought I HAD seen it correctly, I even argued with you.
So, please excuse my mistake and my magician's ego, 😊 (I usually keep it in check, but sometimes it gets the best of me).
A magician without an ego isn't really a magician at all, haha. A few months ago, I got chewed out because of a trick, and it still stings! 😂
That being said, even though it's an effect I don't particularly care for, I know it's pretty popular, and I won't expose it publicly. I mean, come on, some folks make their living with this, and it's not cool to take the bread out of anyone's mouth. Though I suppose there are plenty of folks out there who'll tell you how it's done. 😡
I've tried looking for the app but can't find it. If someone can explain which app it is and how to perform the illusion, I'd really appreciate it, because I think this illusion is pretty great since all the spectators can get involved somehow, even those watching on a screen.
Hey @daniel05
So, it's August 20, 2025, and it's 11:32 AM right now (by the time I post this, the time will change)
I type this number into my calculator:
200820251132
But instead of 32 (the minutes)... I add 1 or 2 minutes to it.
200820251134
The timing I've rehearsed for the duration of the interval from when I 'stop pressing' (on the device), the spectator types the number, and I perform the revelation.
And what happens when I stop pressing the phone??? Well, NOTHING happens.
No matter how much they press, the number is already entered and locked in (whatever they press, nothing gets typed), that's why they CAN'T see what they're pressing 😂.
And that's all there is to it.
P.S.: I'm not sure if this is exactly it; I just watched the video for 5 minutes, and that was my logical deduction—a force..., as it usually is. 🤷♂️
Cheers and good magic!!!
