Plastic Decks: Which Ones Are the Best? (from my point of view)
Of all the plastic decks I own, I'd like to highlight four of them.
FIRST DECK:
It's a BIERDORF Black Plastic, Bridge size.
The box and the backs both have an incredible motion effect (which doesn't really show up in a picture 😅), but that alone makes them worth having.
Visually, they're beautiful.
They feel great to the touch.
But...
They're horrible for doing a fan or a spread.
Otherwise, they're perfectly fine for performing magic.
SECOND DECK:
A plastic Bicycle (no idea what its name is, if it even has one), one of the first ones I bought 10 years ago.
Like the previous ones, they're visually beautiful and feel great (almost better than the last deck) but again, you can't fan or spread them.
Everything else works perfectly, even perfect faros.
THIRD DECK:
An Aqua deck by MPC.
Of all the plastic decks I've tried, hands down, one of THE BEST.
In fact, I'd say it's on par with ANY PROFESSIONAL DECK.
I repeat, ANY PROFESSIONAL DECK.
Unlike the previous ones, these decks CAN indeed be fanned and spread.
SOME OF THE BEST OUT THERE when it comes to plastic decks.
And for me, one of the best in the world.
FOURTH DECK:
Last on my list is a Bicycle Prestige.
But be careful... NOT THESE PRESTIGE decks:
Which are "insignificant" by comparison.
The Bicycle Prestige decks I'm referring to are Dura-Flex, and they're the ones you see next.
This is, without a doubt (and obviously in my opinion),
THE BEST PLASTIC DECK IN THE WORLD
You can do EVERYTHING with them.
I hope this info is useful to someone.
Have a great day and happy magic!!!

@Zeta:
Hmm, that's interesting.
The Bicycle Prestige decks seem really practical (I say that because a huge advantage of plastic cards is, obviously, their water resistance).
Are they the size of a standard deck? In the photo, they look smaller.
They look like they'd be great for magic...
And one last question (sorry, I'm super curious! 😅)
Where did you get them?
Thanks for the info, Jose!
@mkids3640:
So if they get wet, no harm done.
And if they get stained with food sauce, or if you're doing magic in a pub and they fall onto a floor covered in, say, coffee liqueur that some oblivious patron spilled earlier, well, no worries, because they're washable.
@mkids3640:
Yep.
@mkids3640:
They're perfect for both magic and cardistry.
@mkids3640:
I've had this deck for years and honestly can't recall where I picked it up 😅.
But I imagine they're still available somewhere.

@Zeta Just wanted to let you know I ordered some Dura-Flex decks (really well priced, like Theory11s) taking your advice for summer. My hands sweat like crazy then. We'll see how they are.
What surprised me is that, at least in the pictures, the backs looked just like a regular Bicycle deck, not the weird ones they usually have. I don't know if the images are generic, because the description says the same thing you did: that they're a limited edition, they never made them again, and they're the bomb. I'll keep you posted.
@DeZeta:
Hmmmm, they shouldn't be the same as regular decks, though they might have changed the back design in newer editions.
Instead of an exclusive back design, they might have just made it the same as the generic ones.
Here's a photo of the back of the box from my deck:
As you can see, the image on the back of the box shows them with a back design different from the generic ones.
And in the store images I just checked, they appear like this:
(Notice the barcode is the same on both)
So they've definitely changed the back designs in newer editions.
(Which actually makes me want to buy one of these, just to have a deck with the generic backs)
Here's a review video of the decks I have, which feature the "old" back design:
