Deck Care

Hey everyone, I've been doing magic for a while now, and something that happens to me a lot is that my deck boxes get all torn up at the corners and sides, or they start to fade. For example, I recently bought some Juggler Ambigram decks, and the corners have already turned white, just like the word "juggler" on the box. And that's even with me carrying them in a hard case with other decks! Practically all of them have gotten a little damaged. Does anyone else run into this? Any ideas on how to fix it?

Hey. From what I've seen, tuck cases always get pretty beat up (I mean, if it happens to the decks themselves, even with their special card stock, just imagine the boxes...). I think leaving the cellophane on helps them last longer, but the top flap, of course, will still wear out just as quickly.

Cheers,

Card boxes will inevitably wear out, especially if you carry them loose in your pocket.

To increase their durability, I recommend using any of the following methods:

Card Protector Clip

Plastic boxes offer the most protection against wear and tear, BUT if you drop them, they'll break easily.

On the other hand, metal clips protect against both wear and tear (not as well as plastic ones, but enough to significantly reduce wear) and drops (they won't break like plastic ones)
