I've Created a Magic App
Hey everyone, I'm riicks, and I'm a beginner in card magic (I've been at it for about a year). Since I've learned a lot of sleights, sometimes I wish I had them all well-organized in one place where I could quickly access them. And since I also know a bit about programming, I came up with the idea of making an app. This app has the following sections: My Tricks (where you jot down the effects you know, classify them by difficulty and how much practice you've put in, and add your patter), Sleights (where you list the sleights you know and the ones you want to learn), a section for different types of decks, a logbook to record your practice sessions and performances, an 'Ideas' section where you can store ideas, patter, and routines. Another section is dedicated to organizing your patter and routines for stage performances (where you can note the duration, what you'll be doing, and the date), and finally, a section that helps you create and practice a Stebbins stack. The app doesn't ask for personal data, doesn't require internet access, and has no ads. It's designed so that if you switch devices, you can create a file with all the info you had saved on your previous device, open that file in the new app, and have all your stuff. (It's worth mentioning that the app doesn't reveal any magic secrets whatsoever; it just helps you organize the sleights you know and the tricks and effects you want to learn…) Right now, it has a few minor bugs that don't affect the app's core functionality, but they do impact the user experience and overall convenience. Also, for now, I'm the only one who has it on my phone. The plan is to eventually upload it to the Play Store so other magicians can have an easy and fast way to organize all their repertoire and knowledge on their phones. I still need to make some improvements to the app, and that's where I thought maybe this community of magicians could give me some advice on what features to add, which ones might not make much sense, or just tell me what you think about the app. Sorry for the super long post, everyone. Huge thanks to all of you!!

Levitation, Shop Products, & a Possible 'Manual Loop Knitter' Tutorial
Good morning (for those in Spain), and good whatever time it is for the rest of the world! I created this thread to make a suggestion about the section on ' Levitation and Telekinesis ' ( ), which I find a bit limited when it comes to threads and spools. The Mesika thread spool is decent ( ), and I'm not arguing with that. But honestly, it feels like you're paying more for the packaging than for the quality of the thread itself. That's why I wanted to ask if it would be possible to introduce some more affordable spools, like "Invisible Elastic Thread Supreme" (elastic) or "Invisible Kevlar Thread - Sorcery" (regular). Again, Mesika is fine, but you're paying more for the "Brand" than the quality (please Mesika... don't hate me for saying that... 😅 ) I think it would be good to offer a more affordable product. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- On another note, and since it's relevant, I wanted to share something... in case you find it feasible to offer more affordable spools. My method for making loops. A quick backstory: I think all of us magicians, sooner or later, end up tapping into our inner engineer... A few years ago, I designed a manual loop knitter (Manual Loop Knitter). It was quite simple but effective, and I wanted to release it as a product, but... a magician friend told me: "the industry sells refills; they're not interested in selling the machine to make them. You should make them yourself and sell them." And well, that kind of held me back. He was partly right. To be clear, in the end, I mostly made them for myself. I barely sold a few packs, and only to a couple of magician buddies, and that was it. To cut a long story short, and so you understand, I'm an electrician, electronics technician, and IT specialist by trade. That means I've already developed and have the plans for a mechanical version of that knitter, which I now think would be better to release as a product, if I ever do. A sort of Knitter V2 (Loop Knitter V2), though the project is on hold, and if I ever do it, it'll definitely just be for me. With the manual one, I made 2000 loops in a month, and for now, I have enough to last me a long time, which is why I haven't bothered to create the mechanical version. I think the secrets are good up to a certain point, but I also believe in sharing ideas. Getting back to the topic. I'll keep the mechanical knitter for myself, but the manual one... I wouldn't mind sharing it. After all, I don't think I'm the only person in the world who's had this idea (though I might be the first to talk about it, as I haven't found anything on the subject). Well, there you have it. • If there's interest, first, more affordable materials in the shop 😅 (that way I don't have to shop around like in a supermarket, going from one place to another to find deals). • Second, lots of likes on this post (I don't know how many members are on the forum these days, but if there's no interest, I won't bother posting anything). • And finally, and importantly, that the moderators give me their blessing... if it's not okay, I won't do it (this would be the first time I've published this, aside from another magician friend; no one else has seen it from my end). Cheers everyone, and good magic!!!

Questions Category
Is there a category where I can ask questions about the club? I wanted to ask if there's a way to remove the highlighting that appears behind chat messages when I hover over them. It makes them hard to read, and links disappear because the background color is the same as the link color. I'm not sure if this is just happening to me. Thanks

The other day I watched Julio's video on a deck color change, and I thought combining it with the Chameleon Cards routine could really give both of them a boost.
The idea would be to use a red or blue card box with a contrasting color deck inside, along with a double-faced card matching the box color, and the Chameleon Cards.
We remove the deck, making sure the double-faced card matching the box is visible. We show the deck and then locate the Chameleon Cards, which we place face up on top of the double-faced card, holding a pinky break. We pick up the Chameleon Cards with a wrist turn that leaves the deck face up, concealing that it has now changed color.
Once the Chameleon routine is complete, but without showing the backs of the cards, we reveal that the deck has also changed color. This is the moment we use to secretly ditch the double-backer on top of the deck, covering it with the rest of the cards. Now, we reveal the colored backs one by one on the table, and using the excuse that they can examine them, we lap the double-faced card, which then allows us to have the entire deck examined.
I think this is well explained, but I didn't want to include the full Chameleon routine since it's sold in the shop.

This is a recommendation for when you're performing magic, focusing on connecting with your audience rather than just your techniques. When you're doing a card force, a false shuffle, divining a card, or performing any type of move, don't just fixate your gaze on the cards. Your eyes can give you away, and the audience will follow your eyes. Being a magician is all about guiding attention and giving subtle cues for the magic to happen. Mariana directs people's attention, so try to make eye contact with your audience when you're performing. It's happened to me that I've divined a spectator's card, and my eyes gave away my surprise, blowing my cover.

Hey everyone! I know the magic and cardistry club is just starting, but it would be really great if you could add an Intermediate category, just like there's a Beginners and a Pro category. This would be for all of us who have finished the 'Como ser un Mago 2.0' course and want to keep refining our techniques before taking the leap into the 'Cartomagia de Bolsillo' course.
Thank you for your attention.
All the best,
