Cardistry in Magic
Hey again, everyone!
I need some help. The thing is, I'm working on an effect – it's the best I've come up with so far, and it's still a work in progress. But I need a little help because I want it to be visually stunning, and I'd love some advice on how to incorporate cardistry into it. What I'm trying to achieve is showing certain cards in a visually impactful way.
For example, if I want to show a specific card that's at the bottom of the deck, another in the middle, and one almost at the top (but not quite on top), I'd like to be able to reveal them with cardistry.
I honestly don't know a whole lot about cardistry, but I've started getting interested in it and learning a few things, and mainly because I want this effect I'm working on to be very visual. It's a complete routine with a backstory, so it's not so much about spectator interaction, but more about letting the effect speak for itself as the story unfolds (like the ones I've shared on this forum before, as that's the kind of magic I enjoy most. But this time, it's an original of mine that's still in development.) That's why I need visual ways to:
display cards, and
perform false cuts
but with cardistry.
If possible, I'd prefer moves that don't require any prior setup and can be done after several shuffles. It's a bit complex, but I'm just getting into this world, and this effect I'm working on is the best I've come up with so far, and I really want to make it visually beautiful.
Your help is greatly appreciated!
