Bringing a Card from the Bottom to the Top of the Deck

Hey everyone! I'm pretty new to card magic, and after seeing a bunch of tricks, I've been wanting to put together or create routines. But I've often found myself limited to just doing single tricks because I don't know a way to get a card from the bottom of the deck to the top. I've thought about palming, but I bet there's an easier way to do it. If anyone knows, I'd be super grateful!

You can use this shuffle (often called a bottom card control or bottom stock shuffle) to bring a card from the bottom to the top:

  • Hold the deck in your right hand, backs facing up.
  • With your right hand, "peel" off cards from the deck, or use your left thumb to "steal" small packets.
  • Continue until you have about 5 or 6 cards left in your right hand. Then, peel them off one by one. The card that was originally on the bottom will end up on top.

I hope I've explained that clearly. If this shuffle is new to you, searching for videos of a "bottom card control shuffle" or "bottom stock shuffle" should help clarify the explanation.

I hope this helps! All the best!

Yeah, that makes perfect sense. Thanks so much for the explanation!
