Just a quick note about the hypnosis you brought up.
Getting an audience member's hands stuck together is Hypnosis 101.
It's one of the very first things you learn鈥攖he absolute basics, really 馃槉鈥攁nd, obviously, the easiest to pick up and do in hypnosis.
I'm bringing it up because it's something anyone can learn in less than a day, since it's super-duper easy, and from your reaction, I can tell it really made an impression on you.
