Grandpa's Glasses

Hey everyone!

I'm looking to get my hands on "Grandpa's Glasses" (the old-school John Lennon-style ones where each side of each lens has a design that appears when you breathe on them).

Does anyone know where I can find them, or would you be willing to sell a pair?

Thanks!

Hey community!

Hey there.

First off, welcome to our community.

@magicbernat:

I'm looking for "Grandpa's Glasses" (the old John Lennon-style ones where each side of each lens has a drawing that appears when you fog them up).

You're talking about this one, right?

Well, I don't know if they're still sold, but... there's nothing easier to create than this. 😊

You can do it with ANY PAIR OF GLASSES.

The messages go on each side of the glass lenses (the waves, the wrong card, grandpa's insult, and finally the correct solution) and...

making an invisible message on a lens (that the message is permanent) and having it appear when you breathe on it (warm air) is elementary science. So, I'm really sorry, but I won't explain it (not because I don't want to reveal the secret, that's absurd) because EVERYONE SHOULD KNOW HOW TO DO THIS.

All the best and good magic!!!

Hey Zeta,

Thanks for your reply. And yes, that's exactly the effect I'm talking about.

Obviously, the first thing I looked for was the spray or liquid treatment needed to permanently apply the prediction, but even with a basic science background, I couldn't find it, which is why I was asking if anyone had them available.

I also didn't want to shell out a fortune for a supposed liquid that I'm not even sure is permanent. I've focused more on the anti-fog treatment used for dental mirrors, but I haven't been able to figure that out either.

I don't know how to do it, so if you can point me to a solution, I'd really appreciate it.

Best!
