Julio Ribera brings together seven card effects: classic transposition, French Kiss, Chicago Opener, Two Card Monte, card to case, ace change and signature fusion.

This route explores seven routines by Julio Ribera where cards change places, appearances, or are found in unexpected ways. The lessons combine demonstrations or explanatory performances with a study of his handlings.

Exchanges and Changes

The classic transposition explains an exchange with a card held by the spectator. French Kiss adapts this foundation to folded and signed cards. Both use a duplicate compatible with the deck. Chicago Opener requires an extra card distinguishable by its back and links a color change with an unexpected climax.

Two Card Monte uses aces and contrast cards for a change in the participant's hands, with an optional pocket ending. Double lifts, triple lifts, and misdirection are applied throughout these routines.

Travels, Predictions, and a Souvenir Card

Card to case features a vanish from a small packet and a reversed appearance inside the boxed deck. The four ace effect combines a visual reversal with a transformation into the selected card. Two Signatures, One Card concludes the path with a connection between two participants and a souvenir bearing both signatures.

You will need a deck, duplicates for the specified versions, a card case, and writing implements when applicable. It is helpful to know the basics of double lifts, breaks, controls, and forces: their applications are reviewed and alternatives are pointed out, but the focus of the journey is on building and performing the effects.
