Hey there!
As someone who's on-again, off-again with magic, all I can tell you is to give yourself time. For me, eventually, I always find a reason to come back.
I might feel unmotivated for a few weeks because I'm just too tired from everything else I do, and I don't feel like messing with a deck of cards. But then I see a magic show, or an idea sparks that I want to try, and I'm right back at it.
Hope this helps!
Magical regards! 🪄🫡
Hey @ElSergio02.
As others have mentioned, 'it comes and goes', and honestly, it happens to all of us.
Whether it's burnout or just feeling discouraged, it's always good to take a step back and explore other things, both in and out of magic.
Instead of cards, try practicing with other objects like coins, rubber bands, sponges, balloons, etc...
Also, don't overwhelm yourself doing magic all day.
Do other things, take a break from magic to come back refreshed and not feel bogged down.
Cheers!!!
What you're describing has happened to many of us.
There are times when magic has us completely blown away... and others when we don't even feel like picking up a deck. And that doesn't mean you've lost your passion; it just means your mind is elsewhere right now. And that's totally normal.
Sometimes we get stressed thinking we have to practice every day, or that if we stop, we'll lose our edge. But magic isn't just about technique: it's emotion, creativity, mystery... And sometimes, to feel that again, you just need to slow down and enjoy it.
Watch tricks just for fun, without analyzing the methods.
Put on a video of Tamariz, DaOrtiz, or some street magician you're really into.
Or come up with a crazy idea, even if you don't know how to make it happen yet.
And most importantly: don't force it. Magic doesn't leave. It stays right there, sleeping, waiting for you to come back with renewed enthusiasm.
We're all in this together, for the highs... and for the lows. And you'll see, you'll soon be amazed by a simple Double Lift again.
Cheers and thanks for sharing!
