How Do I Do My First Magic Show?
Hey everyone, I think every magician goes through their first magic show, because if you haven't performed one yet, I don't really consider you a full-fledged magician. And I still haven't done it, but I've already been booked for a show, and even though it's still a ways off, I'm already getting pretty nervous. Would someone be kind enough to do me a huge favor and write me not just some general tips, but a detailed guide to help my first show be a success?

A good flow for your material is crucial. It should build in crescendo, saving your strongest effects for the finale. That's what the audience will truly remember.
Make sure you completely master the effects you perform – that means a ton of practice.
If possible, perform the show for a close-knit audience first, one where you feel most comfortable. Even better, follow that up by performing for a less familiar group. This will really help you build confidence and command of the audience.
Anyway, best of luck and much success!
Hope this was helpful!
Best,
Hey everyone, first off, you'll want to find a story to tie all your effects together so you don't lose your audience's attention.
Next, something I find really important is to practice in front of a mirror, for a family member, or record yourself to catch any mistakes.
Hope this helps!
All the best, Pablo 😃
I suggest you put together a diverse and varied show. If you open with an Ace production, you could then perform a couple more Ace effects that tie into it (for example: Tamariz's 'The Assaulting Aces'), but then move away from Ace tricks entirely. You can also explore the different types of magic available to you.
