Coins Across: practicing the classic palm

JJoseAdvanced4m6

Three coins traveling from one hand to the other

This version of Coins Across features three successive coin travels. José Arcario presents it as a simply constructed routine, chosen to repeatedly practice the classic palm and learn how to use it within a complete effect.

The video contains a demonstration followed by a phase-by-phase explanation. You will work with three regular coins and apply the classic palm, finger palm, false transfer, and sound pass to give continuity to the travels.

The studied progression

The explanation begins with the initial setup and the first travel. It then introduces sound reinforcement: what is heard helps confirm the presence and arrival of the coins. José details the coordination between the actions of both hands so that this sound becomes part of the revelation.

The last coin allows you to involve a spectator. The instructor explains the possibility of completing the travel in their open hand and illustrates it by indicating where that hand would be placed. You will be able to study how to adapt the position and final coverage to that participation.

A specific use for the basic sleight

The repetition of the palm is deliberate: the purpose of this version is for you to rehearse it within a sequence with a beginning and an end. José discusses this construction choice and its value as practice for basic tools.

You will need three coins that you can comfortably palm. It helps to be familiar with the classic palm, finger palm, and sound pass; the lesson shows how to bring them together into the routine. To practice the participatory climax, you can have someone offer their open hand.
