Impromptu CCC

Perform a 3-Coin Escape Anywhere

You'll be able to thread three Chinese coins onto a ribbon and make them melt off one by one right in front of your friends. The best part is you only use three coins. There are no secret extras or hidden gimmicks to worry about, so you can perform this anytime you have your coins and a piece of string or ribbon.

How the Impromptu CCC Lesson is Taught

The lesson starts with a full performance so you can see the timing and the "miracle" moments. After that, Yago breaks everything down in a 14-minute explanation. He starts with how to choose and measure your ribbon, moves into the initial setup, and then walks you through each of the three coin escapes step-by-step. He even shows you the exact finger placements to make sure the audience never sees the "work" behind the effect.

How Hard is the Impromptu CCC?

This routine is rated a 45 out of 100 for difficulty. It isn't for someone who has never picked up a coin, but it’s perfect if you’re ready to move past the basics. You’ll need to practice a "Click Pass" and get comfortable holding a coin in your palm while moving your hands naturally. The third coin escape is the most technical part, but Yago teaches you how to use a simple question to distract your audience so the move is invisible.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need special coins?
You need three standard Chinese coins (the ones with holes in the middle) and a piece of ribbon. You don't need any magnetic coins or "shells" for this version.

How long should the ribbon be?
Yago recommends a length from your fingertips to your elbow, then doubled. He explains in the video why this specific length keeps the coins at a comfortable distance for the moves.

Can I do this if people are standing behind me?
This routine is designed for people standing in front of you. While it’s very "clean," the grips and hides work best when the audience is facing you or slightly to the sides.

What if I've never done a Click Pass?
Yago explains the version he uses for this routine. It's a great way to learn the move because the sound of the coins clicking together helps sell the illusion that you're doing exactly what you say you're doing.
