Italian Palm: Thumb Palm entry
This lesson covers the transition to the Italian Palm from a coin resting on the fingertips. José Arcario demonstrates the path until it is secured in the thumb palm position.
Pressure from the fingertips and the thumb is used to carry the coin to the retention area. The move is repeated and shown from another angle to study its placement.
Initial position and arrival
The example starts from the index and middle fingers. The explanation notes that this position can vary: the coin can start on one or two fingers and sit higher or lower.
The goal is to move from that placement to a stable retention at the base of the thumb and index finger.
In this video, the thumb palm is also referred to as the Italian Palm. The entry and retention are taught with a single coin, without developing a vanish or production sequence.
You need an ordinary coin. Practice focuses on coordinating the path and recognizing the final position.
