You can also try palming the card while everyone's applauding and nobody's really paying attention, because that way the move will be more undetectable.

Hope that helps!

Cheers!

The Palm is a really powerful tool, but it's also one of the hardest to master because it's not just about technique; psychology plays a big role. Initially, you'll always feel like you're 'cheating,' and that'll show in your body language and expressions.

Until you feel comfortable with it, the way you're doing it now is fine. Another practical option is to use your jacket or hoodie: you put the deck in your pocket as if you're putting it away, and when you take it out again, you've already done the load without anyone suspecting a thing. The key is to do it naturally, as if it's no big deal.

It also works great to use 'forgetful' moments: you put the deck in the box, talk for a bit or change the subject, and then take it out again. That little pause makes it so no one remembers exactly how the deck was before.

Ultimately, what's important isn't so much the technique itself, but the context. If you don't give importance to the move and frame it within a logical action (putting away, taking out, changing the subject), the audience won't either.

Thanks so much! Your post really cleared things up for me. I'll give it a try. 😁😁😁

You can do the French Drop first, and then the Ambitious Card routine :)

Or you could introduce another routine in between, something that justifies putting the deck away (like coins? or packet tricks?), and then you make the switch to another similar, prepared deck...
