Animal Prediction

GGrecaBeginner22m

A prediction built with the audience

Participants suggest animals, the slips are gathered in a container, and a spectator assists with the selection. A drawing prepared during the presentation allows the effect to conclude with a clear match. The footage shows the performance and then examines the handling and presentation choices.

Greca explains the preparation of the cards and compares different options to identify them comfortably during the performance. Attention is given to their appearance, the writing, and the continuity needed so the audience's interventions do not stall the routine.

Information, pacing, and revelation

A core part of the lesson distinguishes when it is best to show the participant's choice first versus presenting the performer's information first. This approach applies to the drawing, reading the slip, and how the revelation is shared with the spectator and the rest of the audience.

The difference between showing something explicitly versus allowing it to be seen naturally is studied. Instructions, tempo changes, humor, the participant's role, and the details that bring meaning to the mentalism presentation are also worked on.

Adaptations and materials

The routine can be customized with other categories, themes, or contexts. Greca discusses corporate applications and themed shows, alongside a more advanced version of the presentation to practice once the basic handling is mastered.

You will need slips or cards, a marker, a container to gather them, and a sheet or folder for the prediction. Scissors are used during the preparation, and simple material alternatives are suggested. Artistic precision in drawing is not required: what matters is that the result is recognizable. It is advisable to rehearse the instructions and the participation of several people to maintain the pacing.
